  • Molnupiravir is an antiviral used to treat feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) in cats. This medication is used off label in veterinary medicine. Molnupiravir comes in oral capsule form.

  • Mupirocin otic, also known as pseudomonic acid A, is an antibiotic used in the treatment of ear infections. It is used “off label” or “extra label” to treat ear infections in animals. Mupirocin comes in ointment or liquid drop suspension forms that may be specially compounded.

  • When a farrier shoes a horse, accurate placement of each nail through the insensitive epidermal laminae of the hoof is essential. The nail must penetrate deep enough to hold firm, but not deep enough to penetrate the sensitive laminae of the hoof.

It is labeled for use in cats, dogs, and horses to treat certain types of skin and ear infections. It may be used"off label" or "extra label" to treat other conditions or in other species.

  • Nitrofurantoin is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial urinary bladder infections. It is typically used as a second-line antibiotic, when broad-spectrum antibiotics have not cleared the infection. It is used “off label” or “extra label” in veterinary medicine. Nitrofurantoin comes in capsule or liquid forms given orally. Never use in food-producing animals or animals intended for food.

  • Olopatadine ophthalmic is an antihistamine medication used to treat pruritus (itchiness) of the eyes caused by allergies in animals. Olopatadine ophthalmic comes in liquid drop suspension form.

  • Osteochondrosis (OCD) is a failure of the bone underlying the smooth articular cartilage inside the joints, i.e. the subchondral bone, to form properly from the skeleton's cartilage template.

  • Oxybutynin is a medication used to help stop bladder spasms that cause urine leakage (refractory urinary incontinence) in cats and dogs. This medication is used off-label in veterinary medicine. Oxybutynin comes in several oral formulations.

  • Oxytocin is a hormonal agent used to induce or enhance uterine contractions at the time of birth in cats, dogs, rabbits, rodents, and other mammals. Oxytocin is also used in mammals to help start milk production, control uterine bleeding, and help shrink the uterus to normal size after birth. It has been used in birds and reptiles to help resolve egg binding.
